How Do You Know If You Have Cataracts?

Cataracts can be a frightening condition – no one likes being suddenly unable to see less clearly – but it’s highly treatable if caught by a cataract surgeon. If you even suspect you or a loved one is suffering from cataracts, make an appointment as soon as possible with a specialist online or by picking up the phone.

Ask the Expert

Schedule a consultation with Leo W Mack Jr MD PA because only an expert can tell you for sure if it’s cataracts or not. Make a list of all of the changes in your vision so you can share these symptoms during your visit.

What to Look for

Symptoms of cataracts include but are not limited to:

·         Double vision (particularly in one eye)
·         Blurry, dim or cloudy vision
·         Increased sensitivity to light
·         Difficulty seeing at night or in the dark
·         Change in how you perceive colors

When it comes to a condition like cataracts, it’s better to make an appointment to be sure and find out you’re wrong than to assume it’s nothing to worry about and not make the appointment. Cataracts are treatable but progressive, so the longer you go without treating them, the greater damage they can inflict on your vision.
